The Alternative Resolution of Consumer Disputes (RAL) is the entity that covers mediation, conciliation and arbitration between companies and customers.

Independent entities, with specialized and impartial staff, help the consumer and the company to reach a friendly solution through mediation or conciliation. If such an agreement is not reached, the arbitral tribunal can also be appealed through a simple and quick process.

What are Alternative Dispute Resolution Entities?

They are mostly Consumer Conflict Arbitration Centers, which resolve disputes through mediation, conciliation and arbitration procedures, free of charge or at reduced costs. They provide free information on consumer topics.

Where are they located?

These entities are located in different areas of Portugal, with the entire national territory covered by at least one of these entities / Arbitration Center.
